There are different ways of donating to our project.
Whether you donate to our bank accounts in the Netherlands (in Euros) or in Perú (in Dollars), or you donate via the Omprakash Foundation (recommended for American donors), our American partner, your money goes directly to our project.

We encourage American supporters of Helping Hands to donate via the Omprakash Foundation omprakash, our partner in the USA. Omprakash is a registered 501(c)3 charity, which means that all donations to Omprakash are fully tax-deductible. At Helping Hands, we are proud to say that 100% of all donations go directly to the costs of running the project: teacher salaries, school supplies, building costs, and similar expenditures. We have no “overhead” costs, and therefore you can be assured that your donation will be used as effectively as possible.
Child Sponsorship
What does it mean to sponsor a child?
By sponsoring a child through our program, you are developing a personal connection with our program and a particular child. You play a great role as a child’s sponsor. Your child will look to you for encouragement, guidance and care. You can make a great difference as your child pursues his or her education.

For example, with a budget of 147 soles (35 euros, 50 dollars) we provide breakfast, lunch, classes and all activities (gifts, trips, etc.) for 1 child for an entire month. So the direct cost per child is about 1470 soles (350 euros, 500 dollars) per year.
You could help us with a one time gift, or a monthly donation which secures constant education for a child.
Do my contributions go directly and exclusively to my sponsored child?
Yes, contributions received from sponsors goes to pay the bills of each child according to their needs at the time.
How often can I write to my sponsored child?
You are welcome to write as many letters as you like, and your child will respond to each letter. Be assured that you will hear from your child at various times during the year. Letter writing is the most important way to form a supportive relationship with your sponsored child.
