About Us

Grupo “Yanapaq Maki Kuna” (“Helping Hands” in Quechua, the original Inca language) was founded the 1st of August 2005 by Vicky Calcín Pully (single mother, 29 years old), Tarcila Herrera Herencia (single mother, 58 years old) and Mario Díaz Ugarte (teacher, who is in charge of project activities). Its goal is to improve the living standards of people in Peru-Cusco.

ROSA, she is in charge of the school and the “Comedor Popular” and also she is a teacher.
MILTON and LUZ, teachers
NANCY and PLACIDA, they are the single mothers who cook.
JOHN, he and his family are incharge of the develop of the project.

We plan our work yearly, monthly, and weekly; every person within the group has their own ideas and plans for improvement, yet we all work towards the same objective: to change lives. We firmly believe that once you are at peace with yourself you can begin to help others. So the first goal is to change our lives and after that we really can help to change others’ lives. |
